Videos for the Second Week of June, 2009

This week’s videos talk about impersonations – professionally by Kevin Spacey and personally by those  of us who take all our cues from someone else. They say that imitation is the highest form of flattery. It is, for the person being imitated, but what does it do to you?

The first video is of Kevin Spacey being interviewed on The Actor’s Studio by James Lipton. Lipton asked him to do some impromptu impersonations and this is the wonderful result. Enjoy

The second video is a film titled “Who Are You.”   Following is the YouTube description:

The third video is called “Influences and Identity” The YouTube description follows:

This Video was created as a Midterm project for Dr. Strangelove’s Second year Media Theory class at the University of Ottawa.It presents the concept of personal identity and the influence that media has taken on it, taking a look at the Media perception of certain concepts and then presenting the realistic, natural, non-hollywood definition of those same concepts.
