A Portrait of a Remarkable Woman

I met Laura Kamm in 1997 or 1998 – my memory fails me as to an exact date. I saw an ad  in a holistic publication in Phoenix and knew that I needed to see her. She was a medical intuitive and worked with energy and I was drawn to like a metal chip is drawn to a magnet. Not only did she do some remarkable healing  work with me, but we became close friends and have remained friends ever since even though we are a country apart now that she lives in Florida and I remain in Arizona.

While she has always been very intuitive, Laura had a near death experience that left her with some remarkable gifts of intuition and the  ability to discern what is happening in the body. She authored Intuitive wellness:Using your body’s inner wisdom to heal which is now in its second printing (or perhaps more). It tells her amazing story and leads the reader to a greater understanding of energy and how they can use their own energy more effectively. She also has a number of CDs that she has recorded related to the body’s energy. She has been in town for the last few weeks and the other day we had a visit and some tea at The Coffee Plantation in Scottsdale – it’s always non stop talk when we have a chance to get together.  The wonderful thing about Laura is that even though she changes she hasn’t changed. Even though she is a sought out healer, speaker and medical intuitive she still is the warm, down-to-earth, caring Laura I have know for all these years. In this age of so much phoniness, it is refrshing to know someone who is real.  Laura is very real.

No, she didn’t tell me to write that. She doesn’t even know I’m writing this article. I’ll send her an email and tell her I did it. My thinking is this: When a woman (or man, for that matter) with remarkable gifts wants to share those gifts, then it is my responsibility to let as many people as possible know about it.  I consider myself blessed to have her as one of my dearest friends.
