Shifting Into Purer Consciousness is truly a book for our time and has something to offer you whether you are just putting your foot on a spiritual path or are a seasoned spiritual being in your human body.
I found it tremendously comforting to learn that I am not alone in these strange times on planet Earth and that the energy shifts affecting us all are preparing us for ascension. What a difference that knowledge makes. It maneuvers the pieces of the puzzle into place and makes sense of things that didn’t make sense to me before.
She says right up front:”No one should force you to adhere to their particular belief about anything” and she simply offers you limitless possibilities to choose from that can be helpful regardless of the path you have chosen. While she talks about some esoteric things that may seem strange to some, she leaves it open to the reader to accept them or not. If it seems too “way out” for you to accept, pass it by and come back to it later.
In her section on “Tips for Integration and Wholeness” she reminds you of spiritual practices you may have learned along the way and, as time passed and you learned new practices, these old practices faded from your consciousness. Some of them may be new to you and invite you to give them a try. Some will be like running in to an old friend that you haven’t seen in a very long time. Somehow Perry rounded them all up and put them in one place so they’re easy to find and refreshing to have again or at last in your spiritual arsenal. If they are new to you, notice the ones that resonate with you, and find out more so you can begin to use them on a regular basis.
The affirmations are the best you can find – anywhere. She presents them to you in sets of topic related affirmations: daily affirmations, affirmations for the now moment, for integration of the Christ Oversoul, for immortality, for loving my body, etc. They are well thought out and beautifully written. If you buy this book only for these affirmations it is money well spent.
Throughout the book, Perry gives you food for thought but she doesn’t push it down your throat. You choose what resonates with you and leave the rest alone or save it for a later time. In her own words, “But it’s ultimately our choice how we respond to each situation. Regardless of our religious traditions, we can appreciate and honor one another. Reverence every soul’s path of evolution, ascension has little to do with religion – one path is not better than another; it has everything to do with changing one’s fear-based perceptions and behaviors into a more loving and accepting way of life.”
This is a book that will speak to you for a long time to come. As you grow spiritually, you will find new things that didn’t speak to you before and more meaning will be revealed to you. Enjoy.
