How, And Why, Do You PERSIST?
One of the basic and simplest concepts and components of personal development and improvement is the need to keep on going forward when others often give up, and continue to believe, both in yourself, and what you wish to achieve. While it is often easier said than done, unless and until you firmly commit to the mindset, and develop the needed positive attitude and self esteem, you will limit your potential by failing to continuously strive to be better and do more. Many of our greatest inventors and those who most influenced others, including Edison, Einstein and Lincoln, often proclaimed that they achieved what they did because they persevered and refused to give up. So, have you ever asked yourself, how and why do you PERSIST?
1. Do you know, understand and are you positively impacted by your personal priorities? Do you proceed with a mindset that tasks are burdensome, or do you consider tasks and goals a pleasure for you to pursue?
2. Are you ready, willing and able to maintain the highest level of energy on a consistent and regular basis? How will you decide to prioritize and place your emphasis in everything you do on a consistent and continuous basis? Do you believe enough in what you claim that you can adequately and convincingly explain why it is important to continue the pursuit, regardless of challenges or obstacles?
3. How clearly do you understand your reasons and reasoning? Do you maintain the necessary resiliency to pursue your goals when others will give up (or give in)? Are you ideas, goals and pursuits both rational and realistic? What is your most compelling rationale for this quest, and how will it continue to personally motivate you to continue forward?
4. What needs does your quest serve? Have you worked on your mindset so that you see it as doable? Do you sense a viable and meaningful solution?
5. Have you developed a synergy between your overall ideas and your ideology? You need the imagination to believe that you can, and must always do so by maintaining absolute integrity.
6. Is your approach and pursuit haphazard, or are you disciplined enough to develop and utilize a systematic approach? Are you capable of paying attention to proceeding in the more relaxing manner of preserving and maintaining a sense of humor, while doing so in sync with a sense of purpose and accomplishment, while always remaining honorable and humane in nature?
7. Examine the tactics that you will use and follow. Remember that you must continuously earn the trust by committing to timely action, and refusing to merely procrastinate.
If you give up, or quit prematurely, you’ll never achieve to your maximum potential. So, why do so many of us give in to the easier path of adopting the I can’t philosophy or mindset?
