Last Minute Gifts for The Person Who Loves Self-Improvement
Sometimes it’s hard to buy a gift for the person on a serious self-improvement path. What do they want and what do they need? Is there something available that is especially good? Are there some “cutting edge” items that I could give? What do you give the person who loves everything that has to do with self-improvement? Here are a few suggestions for last minute gifts for the person who loves self-improvement. It is by no means an exhaustive list. Most people interested in self-improvement are believers in “gratitude” and will generally be delighted that you gave them a gift. If not you might want to purchase a book on “gratitude” for them to digest. If you are aware of something new and wonderful, let me know.
Books:
Bookshelves are bulging with books about self-improvement and self-help. Some are terrific and some? Well, some are not. Some are very helpful to one person but not to another. But books are a wonderful gift for the person on a self-improvement path. If you don’t know what they like or need, give them a gift certificate to their favorite bookstore or to Amazon and let them choose their own. Below are some of my favorites.

Brain Games
There is some controversy regarding the effectiveness of brain games. Some say they don’t work while others say they are helpful. I personally like them, especially for the aging person. (and isn’t that all of us?) You might want to read this article if you know someone who fits the demographic of “senior citizen.”
Lumosity At Lumos Labs created a simple online tool to allow anyone to train core cognitive abilities. From neuroscience to visual art, they combine many diverse disciplines to create their engaging brain training program — making cognitive research available to everyone.

As I said, this is by no means a finished list. It is simply suggestions to help you. The most important thing is to give it with love.
